Super Eagles’ former assistant coach, Fatai Folorunsho Amoo, has added his voice to pre-match comments ahead of Nigeria’s second match at the Championship of African Nations (CHAN 2024), saying the home-based players must go all out for victory against Sudan on Tuesday.

Sports247 reports that Amoo, who is fondly called ‘Arsenal’ by his admirers, acknowledged that the CHAN Eagles are in a tight spot, following their 1-0 loss to Senegal in their first match last week, and stressed that they must beat Sudan in order to reach the competition’s next round.
The former First Bank FC of Lagos midfielder and gaffer declared, “They have to rewrite the wrong by way of doing better in the next game. They should put the result of the first game behind them and go for total victory.”
He stopped short of recommending any particular winning strategy for the team, pointing out instead that they should play the best they can and in any way that would ensure they get the crucial points at stake.
“Whichever way, they just have to grab the three points and put themselves in a situation whereby they can qualify for the next round,” Amoo reiterated
