Champions Cup Kicks Off With 10 Goals Scored In Match Day 1 …My Boys Did Not Play To Instructions- Coach Sunday Ilevbare Criticizes Players After Loss To G12

Coach of Utility Sports Fc, Sunday Ilevbare has criticized the efforts of his players, saying that they failed to play to his instructions, which as a result, cost them the 3-1 loss to G12 Fc in Match Day 1 of the Champions Cup tournament.

G12 Fc defeated Utility Sports Fc 3-1 in a thrilling encounter on the opening matchday of the Champions Cup tournament.

In an interview with Sports247 after his team’s 3-1 loss to G12 Fc, the Ex Nigerian international expressed his disappointment on his players not abiding by his instructions, saying that they would try to correct their mistakes in Subsequent matches in the tournament.

“The game is not bad, only that my boys did not play to instructions, we have done the theory, it’s just for them to practicalize it, which they didn’t play to”.

“With other subsequent matches, we would go back and correct our mistakes. Where their lapses are, we have to correct them and where they got it right, we have to grow to it. I think this loss is an eyesore. With the next match, we are going to improve”, he added.

In other matches of the Match Day 1 of the 5-day Champion Cup tournament, MS Success defeated Soccer Cardinals Fc 2-1, Chekas United Fc defeated Team360 Fc 1-0, Depros and Dannaz Fc played out a 1-1 draw.

A total of ten (10) goals were scored in the 4 matches played on the opening day of the Champions Cup tournament.

The tournament continues as it enters Matchday two with Team360 Fc battling Dannaz Fc, Soccer Cardinals Fc facing Utility Sports Fc, MS Success battling G12 Fc, and Chekas United Fc facing Depros Fc.

All games will be played tomorrow (December 15th) at the Soccer Temple Stadium in Agege, Lagos state.
