Chairman Sporting FC Of Warri Reveals Club’s Desire NLO Participation As They Undergo Rigorous Re-organization

Chairman of Sporting FC of Warri, Prince Godstime Emiko has admitted the long term desire of his club to participate in the Nigeria League One (NLO) ahead of the upcoming season following presidential task force on COVID-19, sports ministry go-ahead on contacts sports resumption after several months of suspension due to the coronavirus outbreak.

In an exclusive interview with sports247.ng, he stated that the team is aiming for promotion to NLO 1 this new season as they have gone through rigorous reorganisation.

“We have injected new and younger players into the team. We are also aiming to get at least 3 players to Europe. If we can send three in 2020 even though there were some setbacks, later on, I believe we can exceed our previous best.”

“We have developed our under 17 teams to an enviable standard. We are hoping our players make the National call up with plans of organising three scouting tournaments in 2021 insight.”

In all of this, Emiko confessed that all are hinged on the grace of God and the willingness of his partners as it is a daunting task ahead but nonetheless, he believes that the dream can also motivate others to inspire more players.
