Wycombe Wanderers continued their winning start under new manager Michael Duff with a deserved Carabao Cup triumph over fellow League One side Wigan Athletics.
The game started with both sides claiming some promising outing with several key chances. After an early six-minute stoppage when an assistant referee went down with an injury, Ollie Cooper went close for Wigan with a powerful shot.

However, Wycombe dominated possession throughout and went ahead just after the half hour when C. Boyd-Munce scored his first for the club with a lovely left-footed curler from the edge of the area.
Will Aimson had a great chance to level for Wigan Athletics but slid in and scooped over from close range as the hosts failed to have a shot on target all night.
After the break, Nottingham Forest loaned forward, Donnell McNeilly headed in to send Wanderers into the fourth round.
His header means Duff’s new side have already had 14 different goalscorers this season.
Fred Onyedinma was an unused substitute in the highly contest game. The Nigerian has been amazing treat to defenders upfront with a goal against Peterborough in the league one 2-1 defeat before the 2-0 home win against Northampton.
Former Huddersfield boss Duff took charge of Wanderers last week and saw his side win for a second time, at a largely empty Brick Community Stadium
