Cameroon’s football officials have revealed how excited they are that their country is set to host Nigeria’s women’s national team, Super Falcons in two international friendly matches.
Sports247 reports that the cheerful reaction from Cameroin came after Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed that the Falcons and Indomitable Lionesses will clash twice within three days.

A media statement by the NFF’s information department revealed that both matches will be hosted by Cameroon within FIFA’s next Women’s International Window from February 24th to March 7th.
Federation of Cameroon Football (FECAFOOT) also disclosed that both sides will lock horns in their capital, Yaounde, on Saturday, 28th February and Tuesday, 3rd March.
FECAFOOT’s general-secretary, Isaac Mandong enthused: “We are excited about the opportunity to host the Nigeria national team and to strengthen the ties between our two federations through this collaboration.”
Meanwhile, Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the 13th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will take place from March 17th to April 3rd in Morocco.
Sports247 gathered further that all four semi-finalists at the upcoming WAFCON 2026 will qualify automatically for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
It would be recalled that the Falcons won their 10th WAFCON title last year, after coming from two goals down to defeat the host country Morocco 3-2 in the final.
