Call For IMC To Give NPFL Group B Live Media Coverage

By Ogo Clarkson

As an ardent follower of the Nigeria professional football league, NPFL, the second phase of the league is usually very tough.

Those who understand the Nigeria league will agree with me that the 2023 league season will be more tougher because its an abridged league where four clubs will be relegated to the most difficult league, the Nigeria National League, NNL plus the introduction of fresh management from the Interim Management Committee, IMC.

At this stage numbers of football club will want to do all means to win a match or accumulate points to survive or stay afloat in the apex league.

The IMC hands will be full by now as the Gbenga Elegbeye lead board will be facing a lot of pressure following the board decision to deduct points from erring clubs .

There have been series of violence in some venue even though with the effort of the IMC but when the spectators and club supporters are conscious of live media coverage they will tend to apply caution in whatever they do.

The NPFL Group B has not enjoy a single live television or facebook streaming coverage this season even though the northern region are prone to violence as we have witnessed Doma United and Wikki Tourists fc brutalized their opponents.

As the week 15 fixture draw closer it will be a pleasure to give soccer fans in Nigeria and diaspora to watch live the game between Wikki Tourists vesus Enugu Rangers and Doma fc against Bayelsa united.

Live media coverage should be encouraged to project the Nigeria league on a global height positively as well to enhance its followers and attract more sponsorships.
