Al Khalefi, the President of the French Ligue One club Paris Saint-Germain, currently presides over the ECA in Europe, highlighting the significance of such associations in the football world.

In preparation for the ACA’s launch, CAF has initiated the process by sending out invitation letters to elite clubs across the continent, extending a warm welcome to Nigerian clubs to participate in this historic event. The establishment of the ACA represents a significant step forward in promoting unity and collaboration among African football clubs.

The official inauguration of the African Club Association is scheduled for October 5, 2023, and is expected to draw elite club presidents, chief executive officers, and chairpersons from across the continent.
