Nigeria has unveiled a 19-man squad for the WAFU B zonal qualifiers of the 2025 CAF Schools Football Championship, with the schedule for group-stage matches also confirmed. The qualifying tournament will hold this week in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
Nigeria will compete in Group B of the boys’ category alongside Benin Republic and Cote d’Ivoire. Hosts Burkina Faso, Ghana and Niger Republic make up Group A.

Although the event features both male and female competitions, Nigeria will participate only in the boys’ category. In the female division, Burkina Faso and Cote d’Ivoire form Group A, while Ghana, Benin Republic and Niger Republic will battle in Group B.
Nigeria’s Match Schedule
The Nigerian schoolboys will open their campaign on Monday against Cote d’Ivoire at the Stade August 4, Ouagadougou, with kickoff scheduled for 11am.
Their second group match comes up on Tuesday at 9am, when they face Benin Republic.
Semi-final fixtures are set for Wednesday, while the third-place match and final will be decided on Thursday.
The Nigerian contingent comprising 19 players and six officials—arrived in Ouagadougou on Saturday after travelling through Lagos and Abidjan. The team is currently lodged at Hotel Splendid in the Burkinabe capital.
Coach Oluwaseun Oyeniyi leads the squad drawn from five secondary schools that excelled at the national qualifiers held two months ago in Abuja.
