In an official statement released on Saturday, 17 January 2026, CAF reiterated its commitment to fairness, transparency and full compliance with competition regulations throughout the tournament.

CAF confirmed that, in collaboration with the Local Organising Committee (LOC), all teams participating at AFCON 2025 have been treated under the same standards and conditions.

The continental body acknowledged reports attributed to the FSF regarding logistical arrangements ahead of the final and clarified the steps taken to address them.

According to the statement, Senegal was granted the opportunity to select its preferred hotel for the final match, a request that was promptly approved.

CAF also disclosed that following concerns raised over the initially assigned training facility, swift action was taken with the LOC to provide an alternative venue, resolving the matter.

In line with tournament regulations, CAF further confirmed that Senegal received its full ticket allocation for the final.

The organisation added that FSF President Abdoulaye Fall has maintained regular communication with CAF leadership and the LOC to ensure all issues were addressed satisfactorily.

“The Confédération Africaine de Football wishes both teams the very best ahead of the final, which will be broadcast in 180 territories worldwide,” the statement concluded.

The AFCON 2025 final between Senegal and Morocco is expected to crown a highly successful tournament, widely regarded as one of the most commercially and competitively significant editions in the history of African football.
