CAF Confederations Cup: Kwara United’s Coach Says Battle Not Over Yet

Coach of Kwara United, Abdulazeez Mohammed has said that the battle is far from over as he still considers the game between his team and AS Douanes to be a crucial game despite leading 3-0 on aggregate.

Kwara united will again face the Niamey-based team in the return leg fixtures of the first round of the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday at the Stade General Senyi Kountche.

Team boss, Abdulazeez Mohammed has said it’s not over until the end of the 180 minutes. Speaking to the Kwara United media, Azeez said “We will try to go there and qualify in Niamey because the job is not done yet. We still have crucial 90 minutes ahead.

” We will go there and get the ticket to the next stage”. Talking on the first leg clean sheet, Azeez said he wishes to replicate that in Niamey also.

“Our target is to play and earn a clean sheet just as we will qualify. We are going to attack and that’s why I have told my strikers to ensure that any ball that comes to them matters” he concludes.

Kwara United leads by 3 goals to nil. Thanks to the three first-half goals in Lagos which put the Ilorin-based team ahead as they look forward to qualifying for the next round of the CAF second-tier competition.
