It’s so hard to believe that a Nigerian didn’t make the final XI, I kept wondering if we truly merited a place in this line up, it’s very disappointing, Ikpeba allayed.

*African Best XI*

Andre Onana
Serge Aurier
Joel Matip
Khalidou Koulibaly
Achraf Hakimi
Idrissa Gueye
Riyad Mahrez

Speaking further, the former Monaco man didn’t spare his grieve over Nigeria’s inability to break out in the global stage, “Our footballers and our football are not up there. They keep going down consistently over time, 1999 was the last time a Nigerian (Nwankwo Kanu) won the best African player award, it’s such a shame”
