A total of fifteen finals are scheduled to be contested on Day 2 of the ongoing Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) U-18/U-20 Championships in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.
The day’s action will feature nine finals in the girls’ categories and six in the boys’ events, including the highly anticipated 100m races across both age groups. The U-20 4x400m mixed relay final will wrap up the day’s proceedings.

Spotlight Events
The sprints are expected to command attention, particularly in the U-18 girls’ category where Nigeria’s Rosemary Nwankwo and Miriam Adefunke Jegede will battle for a place in the final.
They’ll face stiff competition from Nigerian-born South African sprinter Oluchi Abelwe Ndubueze and Congo’s Gladys Boukama.
Miracle Ezechukwu led the heats with a time of 11.79 seconds, followed by Ndubueze at 11.93s and Nwankwo at 11.99s, setting the stage for an exciting showdown in the final.
In the boys’ category, Nigeria will have to fend off fierce challenges from athletes representing South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Côte d’Ivoire in both the U-18 and U-20 divisions.
