Bukayo Saka Admits Luck Helped Arsenal Win, Despite Arokadare’s Late Goal

Arsenal of England winger, Bukayo Saka has admitted his side was lucky to snatch victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers, after they initially equalised with a late header by Tolu Arokodare, who played as a substitute for the visitors.

Sports247 reports that Arokodare slotted his first goal in the English Premier League in the 90th minute of play, only for an own goal to give The Gunners victory soon after.

Bad luck camped with Arokadare’s side at Emirates Stadium, as they conceded two own goals, the second of which came in the 94th minute, and Arsenal got the win that kept them five points clear on top the EPL’s table.

Saka, though, admitted that getting maximum points from a game they could have drawn and in which the opponents appeared more adventurous than them could only translate to the element of luck in favour of his side.

“Sometimes you need it. Today, it went our way. We will take the points and move forward. We won’t know until May, but we can be happy that we left with three points.

“It was frustrating at times, I’ll be honest. The message to the boys was to stay patient and trying things – in the end we got our reward,” the Nigerian-born England international recounted.
