Budweiser Taking Football Beyond Imagination As Nigeria Welcomes Roberto Carlos, John Terry In an Epic One match off With The Best Of NPFL Players Set To Participate

The official sponsor of English Premier League (EPL) and Laliga, Budweiser will be hosting the first of its kind football match here in Nigeria with Brazilian and England legend, Roberto Carlos, John Terry set to feature in the epic euphoric event amongst a host of the best NPFL players.

The duo of Nigerian prodigies as Brand ambassadors, Ozomena of Big Brother Naija, and host Obi Ebuka will be championing the fans club for Smooth FC led by Roberto Carlos and John Terry’s Kings FC.

The event tagged ‘Game Of Kings’ has so many enticing varieties in itself with either a chance to play along with this great duo, manage them on the touchline, just imagine having a Carlos or Terry in your team and you give them tactical instructions, Budweiser is making this happen.

For managers, they get a chance to watch the EPL live abroad and a special dinner with these two players alongside a lot of premium Budweiser Merchandise.

As revealed, the NPFL players will be selected through the participation code or the website. Every two weeks, there will be a live draw on Sunday by 8:30 on supersport channel 202.

Selected participants with adequate knowledge of football will be contacted, there will also be a one min video to show this.

The most authentic and valid entry will be selected by audition with the help of the NPFL technical crew.

“We appreciate our Nigerian legends, it could have been an All-Star game but this is an opportunity to put the spotlight on the NPFL, the players who are putting in so much work in promoting the league, they deserve some accolades,” Jumoke Okikiola, Marketing Director of Budweiser revealed.

“There’s no contract or any official agreement with the NPFL, just a professional agreement. We want the best of players in the league, a rich pool of players involved, not necessarily all-stars in Nigeria although it might look like it.”

“We want to expose NPFL with these European stars on the field. Their experience and leadership will come in handy for the NPFL players.”

“This is the first edition, we will assess the outcome and see what’s next, we might actually do something different if not this same program as we aim to bring something different and exciting when this is over.”

With the date yet unknown, Popular entertainers, Mayorkun and Teni will be on hand to host the fans after the one-day face-off match on an after-party segment.
