West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of Brian Okonkwo, 19-year-old goalkeeper formerly of Arsenal’s academy, on a one-year deal running until June 2026, following a successful trial spell.
Standing at 6 ft 5 in, Okonkwo has already impressed by starting all three of the club’s most recent Under-21 fixtures across competitions.

He joined Arsenal’s Hale End set-up at age 12 but was released at the end of last season. He is the younger brother of Wrexham’s Championship goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, adding to the family tradition between the sticks.
Under U21s boss Leigh Downing, Brian will be aiming to build on his strong start to the 2025/26 season and compete for the first-choice goalkeeper spot at youth level
