Breaking News: Mikel’s contract terminated by mutual consent, as he wants the Turkish season cancelled

Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has had his Trabzonspor contract terminated by mutual consent following his criticism of the Turkish Federation lately, the decision to keep the league going with the outbreak of Coronavirus.

Mikel shared his grief about those who have tested positive and those who had lost their loved ones prompting his refusal to play, he wrote, “There is more to life than football, I do not feel comfortable and don’t want to play football in this situation”.

“Everyone should be home with their families and loved ones at this critical time, season should be cancelled as the world is facing a turbulent time”.

John Obi Mikel has had his Trabzonspor contract terminated by mutual consent with former Chelsea star recently criticised the Turkish Super Lig’s decision to carry on playing matches despite the coronavirus outbreak.
