The Lagos Athletic Knights have officially completed a PERFECT SEASON, defeating their biggest rivals, Warriors Flag Football, 35–29 in a blockbuster showdown to close Week 9 of the Showtime Bowl Series XIII.
In a game tagged by fans as “the unofficial final before the final”, both teams delivered fireworks from start to finish, but it was the Knights’ discipline, clutch execution, and late defensive stand that sealed the victory — and with it, an 9–0 unbeaten regular-season record.

The Warriors, who came into the match as the only team capable of stopping the Knights’ flawless run, threw everything into the battle. Their explosive offense struck early, their defense forced turnovers, and at 29–29 late in the game, it looked like the rivalry would go down to the final play.
But the Knights showed why they are the No. 1 team in Nigeria, closing out the match with a decisive touchdown drive followed by a championship-level defensive stop to silence the Arena.
