According to reliable sources within the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), all passports are currently with the federation’s performance director. The focus has now shifted to coordinating a rapid departure from Los Angeles, in a race against time to reach Nassau before the competition kicks off.
This last-minute breakthrough offers a glimmer of hope for Nigeria’s relay teams, who were initially forced to withdraw after visa delays threatened their chances of qualifying for the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo. With Olympic qualification also tied to performances at the World Relays, this development could prove pivotal.
