This year’s event is making headlines with the deployment of advanced officiating tools aimed at ensuring greater accuracy, fairness, and professionalism in every match.

Leading the innovation is the Gen 2 Daedo Protector and Scoring System (PSS)—an internationally certified platform renowned for its precision and consistency, especially at cadet and junior competition levels.

The LFLP Championship becomes one of the first youth-focused tournaments in Nigeria to adopt this next-generation system.

Further enhancing the credibility of the event, the Naija Taekwondo Initiative will power an Instant Video Replay system.

This feature allows judges to make accurate decisions in real time, marking a significant step forward in transparency and fairness for youth competitions in the country.

With over 200 young athletes confirmed from across Nigeria and beyond, the championship is expected to deliver a thrilling spectacle of talent, discipline, and high-tech action.

The day will kick off with athlete draws and weigh-ins from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., followed by the opening ceremony and official match commencement at 9:00 a.m. prompt.

Excitement is already running high in Nigeria’s martial arts community, as rising stars prepare to showcase their skills on a national stage.

With its embrace of technology and commitment to integrity, the 2025 LFLP U-17 Taekwondo Championship is poised to become a landmark event in the nation’s youth sports calendar.
