Host nation Morocco advanced to the semi-finals of the TotalEnergies AFCON 2025 with a convincing 2–0 victory over Cameroon, continuing their impressive run on home soil.

The Atlas Lions took the lead in the 26th minute when Brahim Díaz struck with his right foot after a well-worked assist from Ayoub El Kaabi, giving the hosts a deserved advantage in a tightly contested first half.
Morocco maintained control after the break and doubled their lead in the 74th minute. Ismael Saibari finished confidently with his right foot after being set up by Nayef Aguerd, sealing the win and sparking celebrations among the home supporters.
The victory further underlined Morocco’s attacking efficiency, with Brahim Díaz now boasting five goals in five matches at the tournament — a remarkable return that places him firmly among the leading scorers at AFCON 2025.
Cameroon fought hard and showed moments of threat, but Morocco’s organisation, composure and clinical finishing proved decisive on the night.
