Dar es Salaam – Congolese striker Andy Boyeli scored twice as defending champions Young Africans (Yanga SC) secured a commanding 4–1 victory against KMC, propelling them to the top of the NBC Tanzania Premier League standings with 10 points from four games.
This marked Boyeli’s first competitive goals for Yanga since joining the club from Sekhukhune United in South Africa. The teams went into halftime tied 1–1, but the second half belonged to the reigning champions, who struck three quick goals within 10 minutes.
Man of the match Pacome opened the scoring in the 72nd minute after a precise pass from Izrael Mwenda. Five minutes later, Boyeli, coming on as a substitute for Zimbabwean striker Prince Dube, converted a penalty that ricocheted off the crossbar before finding the net. He completed his brace in the 82nd minute, finishing a fine move set up by Celestine Ecua.

The win marks the second consecutive league victory under new coach Pedro Gonçalves, who recently took over from Frenchman Romain Folz, signaling a strong start to his tenure.
With Boyeli’s arrival now making an immediate impact, Yanga SC look poised to maintain their top position and defend their title in this season’s NBC Tanzania Premier League Sports247 reports.
