Big Daddy Wins AFCADU Champions League

Ten man Big Daddy FC wins AFCADU Champions league on Saturday July 15th after recording a 2-0 victory over Ihuyase FC.

It was a battle of two former Delta North football Coaches Tournament champions as the four months long AFCADU champions league comes to an end.

Big Daddy Fc won the inaugural edition of the DNFCC Tournament in 2021 while Ihuyase are the current holders of the tournament.

The Coach Ibrahim led Big Daddy took a 1-0 lead into the break and in the 70th minute were a man down when the center referee gave one of their players the marching orders.

Ihuyase fought hard to level scores but Big Daddy put the game beyond the Coach Timothy Ujah side with another goal against the run of play to make it 2-0.

Ultimate FC finished in 3rd place winning the bronze medal after a 5-4 penalty shootout against Abavo United after the tie ended 1-1 a peaice.

Earlier in the day, the Coaches and Directors played a novelty match in which Team B defeated team A 3-2.

The AFCADU Champions league round up the tenure of the outgoing president Mr Mathew Orhibhabor who will officially handover to the newly elected president Coach Alika Onyeka on July 29th 2023.
