Beyond Limits Graduate Meliga Joins KFUM Oslo, Steps Up In Norway

Former Beyond Limits Graduate Promise Meliga has completed a permanent move to Norwegian Eliteserien side KFUM-Kameratene Oslo (KFUM Oslo) from fellow Norwegian club Vålerenga.

The 19-year-old Nigerian attacker has signed with KFUM following a breakthrough period that has seen him gain valuable experience in Norwegian football.

Vålerenga confirmed the transfer on September 2, stating that Meliga had been sold to KFUM after making nine appearances for the club’s senior team. He also spent part of the 2026 season on loan at Kristiansund BK.

Meliga originally joined Vålerenga from Beyond Limits and signed a contract with the Oslo club on his 18th birthday, with his previous deal running until 2029.

His development also included a loan spell at Kristiansund, where Vålerenga said the youngster would benefit from regular senior football as part of his progression.

The move to KFUM represents another important step for Meliga, who will now continue his development in Norway’s top flight.

The Nigerian attacker will wear the colours of Kåffa as he looks to establish himself at senior level and make a bigger impact in the Eliteserien.

For the former Beyond Limits player, the move provides an opportunity to build on the experience gained at Vålerenga and Kristiansund while continuing his journey in Scandinavian football.

KFUM have secured a young Nigerian attacking talent with room to develop, while Meliga will be hoping his new chapter in Oslo brings regular opportunities and strong performances at the highest level of Norwegian football.

His journey from the Beyond Limits development system to Norway’s top division continues to underline the growing pathway for Nigerian youngsters seeking to build professional careers in Europe.
