Benue Queens, Delta Queen Shine On Day 2 Of National Division One League

Benue Queens began their quest of gaining promotion back to the top tier Handball League as they comfortably defeated Abia Valiants on Day 2 of the National Division One Handball League in Benin City, Edo State

The former Premier League teams played in the very first match of the Female Category and Benue Queens led by none other person than Dorothy Nyagh easily defeated Abia Valiants 36-23.

The other matches in the female category saw Sokoto Rima, with an impressive Rehima Bello in their mix, make mess of Police Machine with an emphatic 29-16 victory while Joy Okolo helped Delta Force to emphatically defeat Suleja Shooters 34-17.

In the Male Category, Correction Boys continued in their winning howbeit with a struggle as they defeated Borno Spiders 23-20 with Zakari Bala making the difference for the Correction Boys while Uyigue Enomwen was the star man as Edo Dynamos dug deep to get a 22-21 victory over Kwara United.

Olaiya Ibukun proved to be a blessing for Owena Kings as they defeated Benue Buffaloes 23-19 while Nura Kolo scored 10 goals to help Suleja Shooters to shoot down Mindscope Academy 29-23
