The unveiled players include:
Chidi Harmony – Centre Forward (on loan from Imo Strikers)
Ojiyovwi Keseina Tessy – Attacker (from Nasarawa Amazons)
Nwachukwu Prisca – Midfielder (from Imo Strikers/Heartland)
The standout among the trio, Chidi Harmony, gained national attention after finishing as the top scorer in the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers with 12 goals, before representing Nigeria at the 2024 U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic.
Her goal-scoring instinct and ability to operate across multiple attacking roles make her one of the most exciting young prospects in Nigerian women’s football.
Speaking at the Samson Siasia Stadium during the unveiling, Bayelsa Queens FC Chairman, Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala, expressed confidence that the new additions will strengthen the team’s pursuit of greater achievements.
“We have decided to recruit new players whom we believe possess the quality and determination to help us achieve our set goals,” Apreala said. “With the calibre of players we now have, and the continued support of the Bayelsa State Government and other stakeholders, we are confident of achieving our targets for the new season.”
The club, which dominated the 2024/2025 NWFL Premiership campaign, is now focused on defending its title while also making a strong impact in continental competitions.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the debut of the new signings, particularly Harmony, whose attacking flair and finishing ability are expected to play a key role as Bayelsa Queens continue their quest for domestic glory and international recognition.
