The newly promoted side Barau FC is set to depart from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, to Port Harcourt International Airport ahead of the weekend encounter against Kun Khalifat FC in the Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday-6 encounter.
From Rivers State, the team will proceed to Aba, Abia State, for the NPFL Matchday 6 fixture on Sunday.

Towards the preparation of the Maliya Boys away trip to Aba, the team welcomed two friendly matches with a grassroots team Mai Charbi FC in a 2-1 victory and 2-0 against Jigawa Golden Stars at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata.
A few days ago, Barau Football Club unveiled former Super Eagles player, Dominic Iorfa, as the new General Manager, and Alhaji Kabiru Baita as Vice President.
The unveiling ceremony was held on Monday in Kano under the leadership of the Club President, Shawwal Barau Jibrin.
Earlier in Matchday5 fixtures against Rivers United, scheduled for Sunday, 21st September at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, was postponed due to Rivers United’s involvement in the CAF champions league’s first preliminary round, and a new date will be announced later.
The Maliya Boys are still without their first win in the league after gaining promotion last season, a barren draw in the league opener against Enyimba, lost 2-0 on Matchday-2 in a trip to Yenagoa. Barau FC tasted the first goal of the season from Yahyah Ibrahim at home to restore parity 1-1 against the Benin Gunners.
Barau FC, also departed from Malam Aminu Kano International Airport for Lagos ahead of their NPFL matchday 4 clash 2-0 defeat to Ikorodu City.
However, a search for the first maximum points continues with a game against another newly promoted side Kun Khalifat FC this weekend
