Band Girls Joins Plateau United Supporters Club

A group of girls based in Jos has offered their services to the Plateau United Supporters Club.

The gesture according to a spokesperson of the group, Pamela Pam is aimed at contributing their own quota to the success of the team which is doing well in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League.

Pamela explained that they are captivated by the scintillating performance of the team this season which has seen them winning matches both home and away to place second on the league table.

” We used to come and watch the team during league matches and we are really impressed with the performance of the
team and decided to offer our support free of charge to ensure more success to the team.

Chairman of Plateau United Supporters Club, Umar Shehu who was elated with the gesture , expressed happiness with the band girls for volunteering to join forces with their male counterparts to cheer the team.

Umar said the act of supporting teams is not the exclusive reserve of men alone , as women too have a vital role to play in that regard stressing that there are vibrant and enterprising ladies who are active members of the National teams.

The girls who specializes in beating of drums and blowing of trumpet, were at the Jos international stadium where the started rehearsals with their male counterparts ahead of Sunday’s Plateau United home match against Sunshine Stars of Akure.

High point of the event was the introduction of the band girls to the team shortly after Wednesday training session.
