The Hoopers recently made headlines by eliminating US Monastir in a thrilling 92-88 quarter-final victory, and Odaudu is confident his team can go even further this time.
“We need the support and all the support that they can give to us. We need the prayers, we need them to keep us in their minds, they need to have positive reviews about us in the social media so that will make us try as much as possible to make them proud,” Odaudu said.
With renewed determination and momentum from their last performance, the Kingsmen are aiming to surpass their previous BAL finish and make history for Nigerian basketball.
The Rivers Hoopers are Nigeria’s sole representatives at this year’s BAL and will be banking on nationwide encouragement as they battle Africa’s best clubs for continental glory.
