Badagry League: 36 Lion, Badagry United In Fierce Battle

36 Lion Football Academy would face herculean task when they face newcomers, Badgry United in the week one of the Badagry Divisional Football League.

Both teams would slug it out on Sunday evening at the Bereko Army Barrack, Badagry, Lagos.

Badagry United would double their effort if they want to cause upset against their opponents. A draw or victory to Badagry United would restore confidence in the players to play better in their subsequent matches.

On the other hand, 36 Lion who are familiar with the league has experienced players who can wreak havoc. Although 36 Lion is the favorite to win the encounter but failing to get the three-point at stake would be a temporary setback for the team that did well in the last Lagos State Challenge Cup.

Sporting Director of Badagry United Danladi Musa said they have nothing to lose saying that they are not coming to Badagry league to win the league. He admitted that their match against 36 Lion would be tough but noted that his players would give their best.

Meanwhile Defending champions, New Era Football Club would begin their title defense with Mopson Football Academy in the week one official opening match of the 20021&2022 Badagry Divisional Football League.

The much anticipated match would kick off tomorrow afternoon. Three matches would be played tomorrow as GGSI face Paslaw FA, while Sky Rovers take on Rivas FC in the last match of the day at the Badagry zone.

Secretary of Badagry Division, Raymond Akaluogbo told our correspondent that the organizers have put everything in place for the commencement of the league. He said this year’s league would be better organized in terms of officiating, organization, and the safety of the participating teams.

“We are good to go to kick start the league without any further delay. We have put all the logistics in place to commence the league. The defending champions and their opponents have been preparing for the league so I wish both of them all the best in their outings,” he said.

Akaluogbo however urged the participating teams to hurry up to complete their registrations forms saying that any team fail to meet the deadline would be disqualified
