The Nigerian forward delivered the key moment of the contest, supplying the assist for the only goal of the game in a fiercely contested encounter between two title contenders.
With both sides locked in a tactical battle, clear chances were limited in the opening hour as defences remained disciplined.
The turning point arrived in the 64th minute when AC Milan were reduced to ten players following the dismissal of K. van Dooren, who was shown a red card for a late challenge. Roma wasted little time in making their numerical advantage count.
Just two minutes later, Valentina Bergamaschi found the breakthrough in the 66th minute, finishing calmly after a well-timed delivery from Babajide.
The assist highlighted Babajide’s awareness and creativity in the final third, as she picked out her teammate with precision under pressure.
Roma managed the remainder of the match with composure, controlling possession and limiting Milan’s ability to mount a meaningful response despite late pressure from the visitors.
The clean sheet further underlined Roma’s defensive solidity as they continue to set the pace in the title race.
The victory strengthens Roma Women’s position at the top of the standings and reinforces their credentials as strong favourites for the league crown.
For Babajide, the assist adds to her growing influence in the side, as she continues to contribute decisively in key moments for the Giallorosse.
