Katsina United continued their steady run of form in the NPFL 2025/2026 season, earning a valuable 1–1 away draw against Bayelsa United at the Yenagoa Stadium — thanks to another decisive contribution from in-form midfielder Azeez Olamilekan Falolu.
Bayelsa United made a bright start and struck first in the 7th minute when O. Ifeanyi finished off a sweeping move to give the hosts an early advantage, energising the home fans and putting Katsina United under immediate pressure.

But Katsina United gradually found their rhythm, led by the creativity and influence of rising midfield star Azeez Olamilekan Falolu. Falolu — a talented Nigerian attacking midfielder who previously featured for Al Naser Zliten SC in Libya and has also played for Akwa United — has quickly emerged as one of Katsina United’s most consistent performers, and his goal once again proved decisive in securing a crucial away point.
