Ayetoro New-Makun FA has announced the maiden edition of the Ayetoro New-Makun FA Community Cup 2025, a one-day grassroots football tournament scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Christ College Green Acres Field, Ayetoro.

The competition, designed to promote youth development and provide exposure to scouts and agents, will feature eight community teams: Ayetoro New-Makun FC, Arepo Bombers, Asese/Maba United, Ibafo United, Magboro FC, Mowe United, Warewa All Stars, and Iwelepe FC.

Speaking on the initiative, organising committee member Alh. A. A. Balogun said the event aims to create genuine opportunities for young players within the region.

“This tournament is about giving our boys visibility,” Balogun said.

“We want to make this first edition a landmark event that attracts attention and offers real chances for young talents to be discovered.”

The tournament will award a trophy to the champions, medals for the top three teams, and special prizes—including drinks sponsorship from Planet Bottling Company—for the highest goal scorer, best goalkeeper, MVP, and the Fair Play Team. Cash prizes will also be given to the top three finishing teams, while all coaches will receive gift packages.

Registration is free and open to the Free Age Category, with each team required to register 15 players, two goalkeepers, and two coaches. The official draw ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

The organisers say the event will serve as a community-driven platform to showcase talent and strengthen football culture across Ayetoro and neighbouring communities.
