It was indeed a colorful day at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos as the Athletics Supporters Club of Nigeria led by acting President Mr. Olutoye Orishabiyi promises that Nigeria athletes will get maximum support when the Olympics begin in Japan.
Mr. Orishabiyi, in the company of his members, played melodious tunes with fans cheering and dancing as the Athletics Federation President of Nigeria, Chief Tonobok Okowa could not but acknowledge the presence of ASCN.
“The Athletics Supporters Club of Nigeria, as a body has come together to ensure Nigeria is not left out in terms of support before, during, and after the Olympics.
What you cannot take away from ASCN is their love for sports, we are very optimistic for a good finish at the Olympics with massive support as we cheer Team Nigeria”, Orishabiyi said.
Minister for Youths and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare Akin, CEO of Nilayo Sports Management Limited, Bukola Olapade, Former President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), Chief Solomon Ogba, Mary Onyali amongst others were also present at the Olympics trials as they joined in identifying with ASCN.
Meanwhile, Chief Tonobok Okowa has extended an invitation to ASCN for the next trials holding at the Yaba College of Technology on Sunday, 27th June 2021.
