Bay FC of USA striker, Asisat Lamina Oshoala is taking stock and reflecting on her outing with Nigeria’s Super Falcons at this year’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, then scoffed recent reports that she had retired from international football.

While making an inference to how the Falcons stormed back from 2-0 down at the end of the first half in Saturday’s final against the host country, to eventually win the game 3-2, the former Barcelona Feminine of Spain star stressed the merits of determination in football.

The six-time African Women’s Footballer of The Year affirmed, “From game one, you don’t give up. Keep fighting until the end. There’s always light at the end of the tunnel. If you believe, only if you believe, you’ll get what you want.”

The 30-year-old attacker, who previously played for Arsenal Women and Liverpool Ladies of England, as well as Dalian Chanin of China, then spoke about her personal experiences with the Falcons and disclosed how she motivates young players who come around her.

Asisat Lamina Oshoala disclosed, “To be honest, I’m always ready and eager to play. I always tell my girls, ‘Stay ready. Any time, you can get called on. When you get called on, go out there and show yourself.”

The dark-skinned lanky lass from Ikorodu in Lagos State, who is fondly called ‘Agba Baller’ and ‘Super Dee,’ concluded by pouring cold ester on recent reports about her retirement from the Falcons.

“I don’t know where that came from, but I’m not bothered. I’m still here, I’m still playing, and I’m still doing my job. That’s what I’m focused on,” Oshoala parried.
