A fast-rising Nigerian-born attacker at Arsenal of England, Daniel Oyetunde has left The Gunners for a loan deal at Saint Albans, but he will now have to compete in the country’s seventh-tier league.
Sports247 gathered that the 18-year-old Oyetunde, who signed a professional contract with Arsenal last year, makes the move on a month-long deal that was officially confirmed on Friday.

Oyetunde had previously trained several times with Arsenal’s first team, but will now seek to make his mark in the Isthmian League Premier Division.
Sadly, his debut with St Albans came on a day they were beaten 6-0 by English League One outfit, Burton Albion in the FA Cup first round on Saturday, with Oyetunde on as a second-half substitute.
The team have seven matches scheduled in all competitions between now and the end of November, so Oyetunde should get a few more chances to prove himself before his initial loan spell ends.
The youngster’s initial spell will run until the end of this month, but it is already being seen as a step forward for Oyetunde, who joined Arsenal in October 2021 and went on to sign his first professional contract this summer.
The pacy forward, who can play all roles across the front line, has consistently impressed, while playing ahead of his age group, including featuring at under-21 level as a schoolboy.
St. Albans interim coach, Michael Bostwick seemed pleased with how Oyetunde and another new signing, Adrian Mariappa have settled so far; as he retorted: “It’s massive, all the signings, coming in and they’ve fitted straight in with the group.’’
Sports247 gathered further that, while Oyetunde moves out of Emirates Stadium, the London club’s best achieving Nigerian-born star, Bukayo Saka has a mega deal coming his way.
The report out of Queensland indicates that, while another Nigerian kid, Ethan Nwaneri continues waxing strong at The Gunners, Saka is now one of three players set to soar among the club’s highest earners.
The report by TeamTalk adds: “With the second highest payroll in the Premier League – below Manchester City and above Liverpool – Arsenal have assembled a top-class squad that currently leads the way in the table.
“Sensing a chance to continue building for the long term, Arsenal have already agreed new deals for the likes of William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri. Up next is Saka, who’s set to earn a major increase.”
