Brighton & Hove Albion’s Nigerian international, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has missed out on the Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) Save of the Month award for October 2025, as Arsenal’s Daphne van Domselaar clinched the honour for her stunning reflex stop against Brighton.
The WSL confirmed that Van Domselaar’s incredible save during Arsenal’s clash with Brighton earned her the accolade.

In the highlight moment, the Dutch goalkeeper reacted swiftly to a close-range effort from Carla Camacho, diving sharply to her right to push the ball past the post and deny the Seagulls a certain goal.
Van Domselaar edged out strong competition from Manchester United’s Phallon Tullis-Joyce, Everton’s Emily Ramsey, and Leicester City’s Janina Leitzig to claim the monthly prize.
Despite missing out, Nnadozie’s performances have continued to earn widespread praise in her debut WSL season. The 2024 WAFCON-winning goalkeeper, who joined Brighton from Paris FC during the summer, was nominated for her outstanding save against Tottenham Hotspur — a stop that showcased her sharp reflexes and composure.
Nnadozie has quickly established herself as one of the league’s standout shot-stoppers, featuring in six league matches, keeping two clean sheets, and conceding just five goals.
She has also registered 24 saves this season, including 14 from inside the box — a figure surpassed only by Leicester’s Leitzig (29).
Her consistent form has also seen her earn recognition in the Ballon d’Or Yachine Trophy rankings, highlighting her growing reputation as one of the top goalkeepers in women’s football.
