The North London club firmly turned down an initial bid from Monaco, signaling their commitment to retaining the player’s services.

Reports suggest that Balogun had previously reached a preliminary agreement with Monaco, expressing his interest in joining the ranks of the Ligue 1 side.

However, Arsenal swiftly rejected Monaco’s initial bid of €40 million (£34 million), displaying their determination to hold onto the promising talent.

Despite this setback, it’s reported that Monaco remains undeterred and is planning to present an improved offer in their pursuit of Balogun.

Balogun, who garnered attention during his loan tenure with Ligue 1 outfit Reims in the previous season, left a significant mark on the French league.

Impressively, the 22-year-old striker netted 21 goals, showcasing his prowess and potential on the football stage.

While Balogun had aspirations of securing a pivotal role with Arsenal in the upcoming campaign, recent developments suggest that his immediate future might lie beyond the Premier League club.

This was emphasized as Balogun was notably absent from the squad during Arsenal’s triumphant outing against Manchester City in the Community Shield last Sunday.

The situation surrounding Balogun remains fluid, as Arsenal’s refusal to let him go and Monaco’s determination to secure his services suggest that negotiations are far from over.

As the transfer window progresses, football enthusiasts keenly await updates on this intriguing transfer saga.
