Arokodare’s Agonising Evening Reflects In Highlights Of Wolves’ Loss To Crystal Palace

Wolverhampton Wanderers of England striker, Tolu Arokodare’s evening of agony in his side’s 1-0 loss away to Crystal Palace has been illustrated with several low points recorded for him in highlights of the match.

Sports247 reports that Arokodare’s agonising evening was symbolised by a 43rd minute penalty he lost during the game, but a number of key moments also revealed how he missed several scoring opportunities.

Arokodare was on from the start in a fixture that Wolves’ fans felt should have been a huge consolidation on their come-from-behind 2-2 draw with English Premier League leaders, Arsenal on Wednesday.

However, during a game in which all expectations were on Arokodare to make the renewed zeal at Molineux Stadium extend to Selhurst Park, the tall dark-skinned striker failed to make hay and was subsequently racially abused.

Sadly, before failing to convert a key penalty kick that should have put Wolves one-up in the encounter, Arokodare earlier wasted key chances in the 24th, 27th and 30th minutes of play.

Some highlights by SunSport noted in part, “Another opening for Arokodare, who does well to get an effort off with Munoz close by. He can’t get the power behind his strike, as it rolls into the path of Henderson.

“CHANCE FOR AROKODARE! Huge opportunity for Wolves to take the lead, as Hugo Bueno’s corner finds the striker in the six-yard box. He fails to make a good connection with the ball.

“Arokodare has done well so far to get into the right positions, but his final play continues to let him down. He has scored just two goals in 23 Premier League appearances this season, since joining Wolves from Genk in the summer.

“MISS! AROKODARE CANNOT CONVERT FROM THE SPOT! What a chance wasted by Wolves, as Henderson dives to his bottom left to save the striker’s weak spot-kick.”
