Speaking after completing the move, Aribo admitted the past season was difficult due to limited playing time but said he is excited about the new challenge ahead.
“It’s been a difficult season for me because I didn’t get much playing time,” Aribo said. “But this move to Leicester is unbelievable, and I can’t wait to get started.”
The Super Eagles midfielder also revealed that conversations with fellow Nigerians Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, who both enjoyed successful spells at the club, influenced his decision.
“I spoke with Ndidi and Iheanacho about their time at Leicester, and they had great stories to tell,” he added. “That gave me confidence that this is the right place for me.”
Aribo stressed that his focus is on working hard, earning his place in the squad and contributing positively to Leicester City’s ambitions in the coming season.
“I’m ready to give everything and make the most of this opportunity,” he said.
