Anthony Joshua Tipped To Fight Tyson Fury In September

A strong tip has emerged that Nigerian-born former world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Olaseni Oluwafemi Joshua will fight fellow-British pugilist, Tyson Fury in September 2026, Sports247 gathered.

Although Joshua already has a major fight lined up for him in February, the former two-time champion of the world will gladly step into the ring versus ‘The Gypsy King’ towards the end of next year.

This much was made known by Fury’s manager, Frank Warren, who revealed that his client is also eager to step out of retirement in order to take up the all-British battle once and for all.

Both fighters were in the news with tantrums about the much-expected clash of the British duo during their days as global champs, but the tale appeared to dwindle when they lost their belts.

However, a new chapter opened a fortnight ago, when ‘AJ’ called out Fury after his six-round victory over American social media influencer, Jake Paul.

Warren has now hinted that plans for ‘the real fight’ are on course, with Wembley Stadium in London as a very likely venue, because of the all-British personalities involved.

Joshua openly challenged Fury after defeating Paul in Miami, USA, which was watched by 33 million viewers on Netflix, but his next bout is scheduled for February in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Although Fury is still on holiday with his family, his promoter hopes a bout with ‘AJ’ can be lined up in a September showdown, but only after they both go through at least one contest each.

Warren told British tabloid, The Sun: “I believe Wembley’s the home for it. And if it’s Wembley, you’ve got to wait till summer anyway.

“Tyson is not going to sit around waiting seven months before he steps back in the ring, having been out for nearly a year. But he won’t be fighting a YouTuber!”
