World boxing star Anthony Joshua narrowly escaped death on Monday after being involved in a road accident along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Makun, Ogun State.
The crash reportedly occurred at about 11:00 am near Danco Filling Station, close to the Sagamu Interchange on the Ibadan-bound lane of the busy highway.

Eyewitnesses said the Lexus SUV conveying Joshua, with registration number KRD 850 HN, collided with a stationary truck, and two people died instantly.
The vehicle was said to be part of a two-car convoy, with a Pajero SUV carrying his security personnel following behind.
Rescue efforts began immediately after the collision, with bystanders flagging down motorists before officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) arrived at the scene.
Following the incident, fans of the former heavyweight champion have flooded social media with messages of concern and support, while authorities continue investigations into the cause of the crash.
Confirming the development, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi, said investigations were ongoing and that further details would be made public in due course.
