Sports247 gathered that ‘AJ’ did not waste time in making the apology, as the two-time former champ of the world calmly walked over to his opponent’s mum to plead for forgiveness.
This much has been revealed by Paul’s mum, Pam Stepnick, who posited that Joshua showed that he is a gentleman, but slammed the boxer’s promoter, Eddie Hearn for smirking over her son’s plight.
Stepnick, who is the mother of Jake and his fellow-YouTuber sibling, Logan Paul, praised how Joshua made his way through the crowd to apologise after knocking her son out in the sixth round.
While praising Joshua for his gentlemanly conduct, Jake’s mum slammed Hearn for apparently showing now emotions about her son’s plight and confessed that she felt like punching him.
Paul’s mum told the Impaulsive podcast, “I want to get in the ring and punch Eddie Hearn, because I don’t like his smug face. Jake is struggling and he’s sitting over there smiling, like he’s the cat that swallowed the canary.
“That’s sickening to me, that’s sick. I don’t like it. Even Anthony Joshua had some class and apologised to me.
“He worked his way through the crowd and came up to me and said, ‘Mum just know, it’s just boxing.’ It is just the fight game.”
