Anjorin Replaces Uwakwe In Chelsea’s Injury List

Two Nigerian youngsters have swapped places on the injury list of Chelsea’s youth team, as sports247.ng gathered that Fastino Anjorin has bowed out on the sideline, just as Tariq Uwakwe returned to action.

While Uwakwe is back from a knock that kept him out of action with The Blues’ junior squad since last year, Anjorin missed the team’s 1-0 win against Derby County in a Premier League 2 fixture.

Uwakwe was back in action with the under-23 team on Monday evening against The Rams, but Anjorin bowed out due to an injury he copped in training.

The 17-year-old Anjorin, who has made 19 appearances for Chelsea this season, is now in doubt for Friday’s fixture against Swansea City.

It is a major blow fior the youngster, who had a bright start to the term by scoring in seven straight matches across September and November.

Anjorin now has 11 goals from the matches he has played overall in the U18 English Premier League, U18 Premier League Cup, FA Youth Cup, EFL Trophy, English Premier League 2 and UEFA Youth League.
