Former Nigeria U20 goalkeeper Chijioke Aniagboso delivered a standout performance as FC Chornomorets Odesa secured a 2–1 victory over Nyva Ternopil in their opening match of the 2025–26 Ukrainian First League (Persha Liga) season.
Aniagboso made several crucial saves, including two late in the second half, to preserve the win for the hosts. His commanding presence in goal was key as Chornomorets overturned an early deficit to take all three points at home.

The 21-year-old wore a sleeve message reading “JESUS LOVES YOU,” offering a visible expression of faith during his first league appearance of the new campaign.
