The chairman of Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA), Chikelue Iloenyosi (aka General) has highlighted the importance and effectiveness of virtual meetings in running the round leather game in modern time.
Sports247 reports that Chikelue, who was a hard as nail defender for Nigeria at both under-20 and senior levels, reasoned that technology has made it possible for crucial meetings to be held on phone without hindrances of time or distance.

Chikelue added at the end of a virtual meeting of ANSFA’s executive committee that all members of the association should embrace such opportunities in order to boost efficiency and develop forward-thinking strategies for the game.
The meeting’s highlight was the confirmation of leaders in ten committees, which were inaugurated by Iloenyosi, who charged them to formulate innovative programmes and bring fresh ideas for growth of the game in Anambra State.
After the emergency board meeting presided by Iloenyosi, chairman of the media and communications committee, Ralph Chidozie George released a press statement containing the list of all ten committees and their heads.
They include organizing and competitions committee headed by the association’s vice-chairman, Victor Aniekwena, as well as finance committee led by Ifejika Johnson, and referees’ appointment committee chaired by Ijeoma Nwosu.
Others are technical committee headed by Coach Donatus Ezeokafor, women’s football development committee chaired by Cordelia Akanna, and disciplinary committee with Prince Michael Mbaezue as chairman.
Also listed are marketing/sponsorship/media and communications committees chaired by Ralph Chidozie George, players status committee chaired by Olisa Onuchukwu, and grassroots/youth development committee led by Azubuike Okeke.
ANSFA’s general-secretary, Ralph Nweke is to serve as secretary for all the standing committees, some of which have members selected from outside the association in supportive roles.
