Mr. Mark A. Calo-oy, Combative Sports Consultant from San Antonio, Texas, USA has officially joined the World Africa Boxing Association (WABA) Technical Team as a consultant of Boxing and MMA.
WABA has devised far-reaching plans to provide training for boxing officials to be used in title fights. Mr. Calo-oy will join other trainers to oversee in the area of ring officials and the oversight for building better teams of ring officials.
It is always less expensive and more efficient if officials are located close to tournaments and a great help to smaller budget shows which WABA encourages and aspire to support.
The training may also be extended to the amateur ranks in the MMA at least to create a strong foundation before boxers migrate to professional ranks.
Mr. Mark A. Calo-oy would also help with technical operations that will also advise event organizers with the cost for putting on shows focusing on the achievement of long term relationships to have more boxing events with WABA Brand.
These seminars are scheduled on a three-day basis focusing on referees, judges, and hands-on training in the technical zone to include inspectors and cutmen.
The seminars will conclude an evaluation and establish personnel who would be considered to be available to officiate at WABA events and others.
Certificates would be issued to successful candidates who exhibit a tangible understanding of officiating roles at sanctioned events.
