The high-profile friendly game between American International School and Buruj Sports Academy earlier scheduled to hold today (Wednesday) has been postponed till a date to be announced later.
According to information from the school authority, the need to postpone the game is not unconnected with the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly elections which will now hold this weekend.
The new development will also afford the two teams to prepare very well ahead of the encounter that has been generating a lot of interests from sports lovers across the country.
And while reacting on the new development, the CEO of the academy Salaudeen Waheed disclosed that though his boys are ready to showcase their talents in the game against the AIS Boys, the team will go back to the drawing board to prepare more so that they can give the hosts a good game any day, anytime.
“We have been informed that the game has be called off until may be after this weekend elections. Our boys are already in high spirit to play on Wednesday but there is no problem. It will afford us the opportunity to prepare more and hopefully, we will be ready for anytime they contact us again,” he opined.
