Ambassadors FC Seeks Professional Glory In Cambodia

Ambassadors FC on Sunday launched its Paraphernalias at a grand Ceremony to mark the end of the year. The Football Club which was formed by Wholly Nigerians in Cambodia as a recreational outfit is looking to join the Professional Ranks according to their chairman
CHUKWUEMEKA CHRISTAIN ORJI. Chukwuemeka Orji stated that they hope to register to play in the professional ranks and build their own stadium soon.

“We are looking forward to join the professional ranks, we have khmer and foreign players in the team and our goal is to be able to develop players that can grow to become great players in the future” he stated.

The Ambassadors FC took part in the 2022 KW Tournament and has been playing games across other provinces in Cambodia. The club currently has about 80 players in their ranks.

The event was held at the Clubs Happy Training Ground in Phnom Penh with a handful of Africans, their wives and children in attendance.

The Ambassadors FC Launched several sets of Jerseys, Pin Ups and Key holders among other merchandise.

The chief Launcher was Mr Enoch Ubani the Director of Do it All Restaurants. The President of Nigerians in Diaspora (NIDO) Mr Austin Koledoye was ably represented by the Chairman of United Brothers Association Mr Prince Okezie. Other members of the Nigerian Community in attendance included Prof Bede Uwalaka, Dr and Mrs Gabriel Ken, Mr Obieze Ferdinand, Mr Olajide Thomas, Mr Amandi Anaeze and a host of others.

Speaking on the plans, the chairman of the Football Club Mr Chukwuemeka stated that the Club will join the professional ranks soon and hopefully build their own home stadium.
“We are looking forward to join the professional ranks soon and planning to build our own stadium” He said “ We have been taking part in several Leagues and Tournament including the recently Concluded KW League and our goal is to be able to develop players, ( both Khmer and foreign) players that can grow to become stars in the future” he said.

The Ambassadors FC currently has about 80 Players both Khmer and Africans in the team and took part in the KW Tournament as well as play in tournaments across Cambodia.
Awards were presented to notable members of the Club for their patronage during the season.
Mr Onuchukwu David Chinedu was presented with the best sponsor of the year award while Mr Chinedu Eze received the Silver level Sponsor Award for the Year 2022.
