Alimosho APFAN Football League May Hold October

The organizers of Alimosho Association Proprietors Football Academies of Nigeria chapter are planning to stage U-13, 15 and 17 Alimosho APFAN League scheduled for October.

Alimosho coordinator, Coach Ojo Oyebode confirmed to our correspondent over the weekend that he had been moving around Alimosho to talk to football academies owners concerning and importance of the programme saying that he was impressed with the responses of many of the club owners concerning the programme.

“If not COVID-19, we should have started the programme by now but unfortunately the pandemic really rattled our programmes. Presently, we are on course and we are waiting for government to lift ban on football and we commence our programme as scheduled,” he said.

He said various categories of football academies within Alimosho are expected to take part in the completion noted that the league is knockout basis and only the winner in each category would represent Alimosho at the state APFAN league.

Chairman of APFAN Lagos Chapter, Prince Tunde Alade confirmed that all the 20 local government would play their league and winner in various categories in each local government would converge at Alade sports complex for state finals.

“My coordinators in various local government are working behind the scene and call me on phone to give me update. I think things are moving fast but presently we want to abide by the government directive so the programme cannot commence now but it is certain that we would hold it this year because all arrangement have been put in place by the APFAN at the state level,” he said.
