The court victory, delivered on Thursday, 23rd November 2023, saw a three-member panel of justices, led by Justice Uchechukwu Onyemenam, nullifying the earlier judgement of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal (GEPT) that had declared David Ombugadu of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) the winner of the March 18, 2023 election.

Justice Onyemenam, while delivering the lead verdict, highlighted that the Tribunal had erroneously relied on the evidence of eight PDP witnesses, whose statements on oath were not presented alongside the petition as required.

Expressing his joy and satisfaction with the court’s decision, Salisu Usman Galadima commended Governor A. A Sule for his unwavering dedication to the welfare and progress of Nasarawa State.

“This outcome has shown that you are indeed a great leader who prioritizes the well-being of his people over personal glory. I am very pleased that justice has been served. Continue to work for the betterment of the common Nasarawa child,” remarked Galadima.

He further asserted that the judgement has not only validated Governor Sule’s leadership but has also solidified him and Dr Emmanuel Akabe as the people’s choice for the next four years.

“This judgement has further confirmed to the world that yourself and Dr. Emmanuel Akabe are the people’s choice, and so shall it remain in the next four years,” Galadima concluded, expressing optimism for a continued positive trajectory for Nasarawa State under Governor A. A Sule’s leadership.
